For me, there's nothing better than pounding on the glass just inches away from Brendan Morrow as he mixes it up with some jerk from the Anaheim Ducks or a Sharks hockey ticket holder. Getting tickets consumes a lot of my time, since I'm always after the best seats for the best deal. Here's a little breakdown of what I've found in my search for tickets.

Getting tickets from the Dallas Stars organization or Ticketmaster is usually cheaper, but the seats aren't that great. Most of the really close ones are already taken, and sitting far back from the action defeats the purpose of going to the game. I used to still get my tickets that way, just because I didn't know where else I could get them. Then I learned about ticket brokers.

Brokers buy up tickets and resell them for a higher price. This teed me off at first, paying more for tickets just because there was some middleman. But eventually I realized that even though I had to pay a little more for the tickets, I could get the very best seats and I would be sitting with other hardcore fans who were willing to pay to be close to the action. I mean, Modano can hear me when I shout at him through the glass. How cool is that?

I get most of my tickets through a ticket broker now. The fact is that they have the best selection of really great seats. Even though the prices are a bit higher than I'd like, I've found a few sites that are cheaper than the others as well. The best by far?
